The KHEIR Center's Human Services Department offers enrollment in healthcare, social service program and related services for low-income families. Receiving over 30,000 client visits annually, the Human Services Department assists its diverse clientele with issues ranging from eligibility determination for various government assistance programs, including Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Medi-Cal (Medicaid), to enrollment of children for either Medi-Cal or the Healthy Families Insurance Program. Our culturally-sensitive services encompass assistance with document preparations needed to apply for these programs. Beyond the application and enrollment process, our Case Managers continue their informative services to our clients post-acceptance, ensuring effective utilization of programs for maximum benefits. For clients who may not qualify for subsidized services, we also offer information on alternative free to low-cost healthcare services options.
